The Pretty Reckless announce nationwide fall North American tour.
As they put the finishing touches on their second album Going to Hell, the Taylor Momsen-fronted The Pretty Reckless will kick off an extensive nationwide fall North American tour September 20th in Huntington, New York through November 11th in Boston, MA (see dates below, with more to be announced). Momsen and her bandmates are primed to deliver nothing short of killer performances on this tour, with many shows promoted by Live Nation.
“To say we’re psyched to get back out on the road is an understatement,” says Momsen. “We’re ready to cause some serious damage, and it’s now at a whole new level for us.”
The Live Nation pre-sale will begin this Wednesday, July 10th at 10:00 AM. The password is “canuck” and for more information click here. The public onsale will begin Friday, July 12th at 10:00 AM. VIP package options with meet and greets will be available.
The Pretty Reckless are coming off tours with Guns N’ Roses, Evanescence and Marilyn Manson, and their new setlist will include new material from Going to Hell, due out in late 2013. It will follow the group’s debut LP Light Me Up, which went on to sell over 1,000,000 units in combined singles and album sales worldwide.
The band has previewed two songs off Going to Hell on their new website Goingtohell.xxx that was launched with a haunting album trailer, followed by the lyric video for the bracing “Follow Me Down” and a teaser for “Burn”. The latter song shows another side of the hard rocking band. Against a lone acoustic guitar, Momsen vocally digs deep into her lyrics about a dark, fractured relationship.
“This is not a new chapter in the life of the band; It’s a new book,” says Momsen. “The band has matured and our sound has evolved dramatically. The record took almost a year to make. It’s gratifying knowing it’s nearing completion. I’m very excited to get new music out for our fans very soon.”
