Post-metal seems to have come a long way over the last several years. The genre itself is a hard one to get into, unless you’re already a fan. The experimental approach to metal is one that’s hard to win with casual listeners.

After multiple listening sessions, the album really began to grow on me. Again, it’s not an easy album to listen to, but if you give it some time, you’ll fall in love with the quirks of this disc. Despite seeming relatively unassuming, the album has proven to be passable, especially if you want something to listen to while you work on something. It doesn’t require attentive listening, but just enough for your ears to perk upon some definable nuances.
Final Thoughts
“Love and Decay” will take you a little time to warm up to, but if you give it time, you’ll find it’s easy to listen to again and again.
