In Loving Memory Release Official Music Video for “Nomad”
In Loving Memory has released the official music video for their single, “Nomad,” off of their 2017 EP, Introspective. Originally premiered on Alternative Press, “Nomad” is dedicated to lead singer Naveed Stone’s parents and the sacrifices that they made immigrating from Bangladesh to create a better life for their children.
“A big part of why I want to be a musician is to honor and do justice to the immense sacrifice my parents gave for my sister and I. They risked everything leaving their lives behind to come to this country from Bangladesh, just to have children who could reach a level of success and stability that they could not have.” – Naveed Stone
“Many kids from my demographic are discouraged at a very young age, by their families and the world around them, from pursuing artistic careers. We internalize that we’re not meant to succeed in the arts because we look different, or we don’t have the money and connections that others do,” the singer says, “I want to be the first of my kind to be a face and a voice in the pop/rock/metal facets of the music industry.”

Originally the solo project of vocalist Naveed Stone, In Loving Memory did not have its true beginning until the addition of drummer Thomas Diognardi and guitarists Vito Racanelli and Jon Conway. The three found Naveed through his YouTube videos, and thus began In Loving Memory’s full band lineup. They hit the ground running with their powerful debut single, “All Systems Go” in November 2014. The single was written to deliver the band’s mission to create music that strikes the perfect balance between innovation and accessibility, with the result of genuine music that is enjoyed by the trained musician and the casual listener alike. Their Debut EP, Stand My Ground, was released in summer 2015 through online retailers such as iTunes, Spotify, and Apple Music.
During fall of 2015, In Loving Memory had the opportunity to open for Time Flies and Walk the Moon at Stony Brook University’s Back to the Brook fall concert, performing for 750 people, making it their biggest crowd to date. After spending the rest of the year promoting their EP release, the band took their live show on the road and embarked on the Black Sheep Never Sleep tour the following spring. After dazzling audiences across the country with their signature sound, In Loving Memory went on to release their experimental and heartfelt 2nd EP, Introspective, in June 2017. After rigorously promoting Introspective on various dates of Vans Warped Tour, In Loving Memory celebrated the release by headlining the renowned Gramercy Theatre in New York City to an audience of 450 people. The band cemented its spot as one of New York’s rising stars by headlining the first ever sold out local show at Revolution Bar in Long Island, to a crowd of 500 people. The band will continue to promote the Introspective EP and get ready to tour in 2018.
