Marc Rebillet plays the streets of Denver
March Rebillet took to Instagram last week to announce he was embarking on a cross-country road trip. In a brief, but pointed video he said “I’m traveling across the United States, moving west towards L.A. I’ll be playing a few shows along the way…catch me if you can.”
After a chilly set on the streets of Chicago, Marc documented several stops in Nebraska, including what looked like a traffic stop along I-80 (“Fu@cking Cops” in bold letters was all he wrote). Nothing overnight. And then shortly after 10 am the following day he posted a photo of a random intersection in Denver’s Rino district. The next show was set to stream somewhere in the Mile High City that afternoon.
The Loop Daddy can – and does – sell out amphitheaters. But this week he went back to his roots. After setting up a single table on the sidewalk in front of Denver’s Union Station, he unpacked his gear and proceeded to play for over two hours. A crowd of twenty or so quickly multiplied as Marc made his way through one improvised song after another.
He wrapped up his set and then hung out for another hour to take photos with anyone who as interested. It was an epic afternoon. Full of music, good vibes and very talented performer who hasn’t let fame go to his head.
