Old Crow Medicine Show brought their trademark brand of high-energy Americana music to Denver’s Mission Ballroom Thursday night. The occasion was the 7th annual “Sing it to me Santa” – an event raising funds for Take Note Colorado, a local initiative aimed at giving every K-12 student in Colorado access to musical instruments and education.
Partway through the set, the band announced “it’s about time we did a little bit of a Christmas thing.” A perfect lead-in to a stretch of holiday songs that included “Trim This Tree” and “So This is Christmas.” Other highlights included a Woodie Guthrie cover that featured an amazing baton twirler and of course, there was also a rousing rendition of “Wagon Wheel.” Check out our photos from evening below:
