Man Man at the Southgate House Revival in Newport, KY.

*As we continue to expand our focus here at Unsung Melody, we’re adding new writers and photographers to give the site as many voices as we can. Special thanks to Mike for his photos and article. – Jonathan

Man Man is an experimental Indie band from Philadelphia, PA. They are quite the eccentric bunch, as you will see in my photos below. Their sound is centered around the piano, with a wide range of instruments that add to their sound. If they come to your town or anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and make the trip.

This past Thursday evening saw an ice storm looming, but for fans lined up to experience Man Man at the Southgate House Revival in Newport, Kentucky, it really didn’t matter. Once inside, Man Man played to a packed house and the music had the entire room bouncing. So enthusiasticly bouncing, that you could feel the fluctuations in the floor. Fans jostled for position at the front of the stage as crowd surfing revelers floated overhead. No worries though, the band played on as if nothing was happening. This was just another epic night for the fans and another day at work for Man Man. If you enjoy a good show, I promise you Man Man is not to be missed. I hope you enjoy the photos. I’ll include some tour dates as well.
