Legendary Rush Drummer, Neil Peart, Passes at 67

Drumming legend Neil Peart has passed at age 67. A representative of the band had shared the news with Rolling Stone. The cause of death was confirmed to be brain cancer, an ailment he had been battling quietly for three years.

Considered one of the most dynamic and best drummers in rock, he had carried himself with precise and undeniable talent. Joining Rush in 1974, his playing and lyrics were more than just legendary, but influential to countless drummers and bands throughout various genres.

Rush had concluded their final tour in 2015.
