Live Review: INTHEWHALE Play Their Last Denver Show

It’s been a great run. 15 years and 7 albums after they first started, INTHEWHALE are gracefully taking a bow. The band have always kept it real and raw and their sign off was no exception. Several months ago, they posted the following on their social media:

“The two of us have felt this way for a while and it’s time to pull the trigger. There was no big dramatic blowout and we certainly don’t hate each other. We’ve just come to the next phase of our lives and it’s time to let go. We’ve thought about calling it an “extended hiatus,” but honestly that isn’t our style.”

Denver’s Oriental Theater hosted one of the last shows Friday night. The crowd was full of friends and family (some coming from as far as England), as the band played one of their final high-energy sets. Photos from the fun and poignant evening are below:
