Foreigner / Styx – Ball Arena – Denver, CO

When Foreigner’s Kelly Hansen mentioned he had attended a nearby high school Tuesday night, the crowd at Ball Arena took the cheers up a notch. People love a local connection. Especially when it’s the frontman of a band that’s been going strong for decades.

I’ve seen both Foreigner and Styx more times than I can count. But their showmanship never wanes. Both bands have an extensive roster of albums and tours under their belts, so it’s little wonder the songs are performed with near perfection. But it’s the rapport they build with the crowd that make the shows special. Throwing out stories, playing plenty of fan favorites and clearly having fun, even after all this time.
